Juba, Cakewalk, Lindy Hop, bump, Hustle, Jerk, Wobble, and the DLow Shuffle. Experience them all and learn a little history about their orgins with Camille A. Brown. Brown’s class utilizes African-American social dances to teach, engage, and challenge participants about the cultural and, sometimes, political context of these dances.
Camille A. Brown is a world renowned dancer and choreographer. She is co-director of the new program Social Dances: Jazz to Hip-Hop at the Jacob’s Pillow School with E. Moncell Durden.
