Biography

Elle Varner is an American Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. She has won an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding New Artist, Soul Train Award for Best New Artist and was Grammy nominated for Best R&B Song, “Refill” which topped the charts at number 1. Elle Varner’s debut album, Perfectly Imperfect, was released on August 7, 2012 debuting at number four on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart, with first-week sales of 33,000 copies in the United States. It also debuted at number two on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums.

Varner doesn’t only write great music for herself, in September 2012, Varner was credited for co-writing the song “Use Me”, for fellow American R&B singer Miguel, taken from his second album Kaleidoscope Dream. In addition, Varner was credited for writing the song “Personal” for Jessie J from her 2014 album Sweet Talker.

Elle Varner has performed at Late Night with Seth Meyers, Queen Latifah Show, 106 & Park, United Nation with Stevie Wonder and friends, SXSW, Made In America Festival, Soul Train Music Awards, and more! In December 2014 Varner launched a mini tour. Tapping into the acting world, Varner made a guest appearance on BET’s original series, “Real Husbands of Hollywood.”

Recently Varner performed at Billboard Live Japan this May and headlined two sold out Valentine’s Day shows at legendary SOBs (New York, NY). Varner is currently in prep to release her first single off her sophomore album 4 Letter Word.
