Judith Sloan is an actor, audio artist, writer, radio producer, human rights activist, educator, and poet. Her solo performances and plays include Denial of the Fittest Responding to Chaos, A Tattle Tale: eyewitness in Mississippi, and her new work YO MISS!. Sloan has received numerous grants and awards for her work in theatre and radio from the New York Foundation for the Artsand awards from the Ford Foundation and Rockefeller Foundation. Her work has been aired on National Public Radio, BBC, and public radio stations throughout the US and been produced throughout the US and abroad. Sloan is a faculty member at NYU’s Gallatin School and co-founder of EarSay, a non-profit dedicated to uncovering and portraying stories of the uncelebrated.
